I’ve tried more than once to step outside the creative industry. But when you’re wired to create, question, refine and lead, this work has a way of choosing you. My career may not have followed a conventional path, but creative problem solving has always been the constant.
That path has taken me across industries and nearly every side of the creative business, from branding, advertising, digital and print to production, operations and built environments. I’ve worked with businesses of every size, each with different problems, constraints and goals. The instinct is always the same: understand how it works, then find a better way to make it work.
That range has become one of my greatest strengths. I know when an idea needs ambition and when it needs restraint. I’ve learned that taste is less about having a signature style and more about knowing what’s right for the problem in front of you. I believe in high standards, not perfection. Progress over preciousness. I’m still driven by the same thing that started all of this in the first place: the need to make, solve, critique and improve. Apparently, it’s hard to turn that off.
